User Research and Design Expert
Maria is a User Research and Design Expert at Digital Disruptions and has over 16 years of experience in UX, service design, and business innovation.
At Digital Disruptions, Maria has led design engagements in Latin America, Africa, the Middle East, and Asia, for Mastercard, Vodacom M-Pesa, Galgo, and BRAC and supported innovation strategy for the United Nations, International Monetary Fund, and Better than Cash Alliance.
Most recently she led research for Santander UK, and previously worked for several design agencies in Brazil and Europe. There, she developed projects for HSBC and BNP Paribas, among other global clients, including research and development of products such as mobile apps and digital tools. She has also provided training and facilitating workshops in design thinking and co-creation to large bank clients.
Originally from Brazil, Maria is fluent in Portuguese, English, and German. She holds an MBA from FGV (Brazil) and a Bachelor Hons in Communication Design from the University of Applied Arts Potsdam (Germany). She is based in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
